Ashta Siddhi

Die Ashta Siddhi (8 siddhis) im Hinduismus sind :

1. ANIMA – Den Körper auf die Größe eines Atoms verkleinern 2. MAHIMA – Den Körper beliebig vergrößern 3. GARIMA – Unbegrentzt schwer werden. 4. LAGHIMA – Fast gewichtslos zu werden 5. PRAPTIKA – Unbegrenzten Zugang zu allen Orten zu haben. 6. PRAKAMYA –Realisierung dessen was man begehrt. 7. ISITVA – Besitzen absoluter Herrschaft 8. VASITVA – Die Macht alles zu unterwerfen

Ein Meister hat aber nicht beliebige Wünsche etc. da er ein göttliches Wesen ist.

Nava Nidhis

Die 9 Schätze (Nava Nidhis) gehören Kubera, dem Gott des Reichtums. Die Natur und die Charakteristika der neun Nidhis sind weitgehend nicht eindeutig verstanden worden. Nach der Amarakosa (Sanskrit Grammatik) sind die 9 nidhis

1. Padma – Lotusblume 2. Maha padma – große Lotusblume 3. Shanka – Conch shell (Tritonshorn Schale ?) 4. Makara – Krokodil 5. Kachchapa – Schildkröte 6. Mukunda – ein wertvoller Stein (Zinnober? Oder von Quecksilber) 7. Kunda – Jasmine 8. Nila – Sapphire 9. Kharva – Zwerg

8 Siddhis nach Kapila

Die 8 Siddhis nach Kapila in seinem Sutra - sind wie in Vers 51 der Samkhyakarika erklärt :

  • Uuha: based on the samskaras of previous births the attainment of knowledge about the twenty-four Tatwas gained by examining the determinable and the indeterminable conscious and the non-conscious constituents of creation,
  • Shabad: knowledge gained by associating with an enlightened person (Guru – upadesh),
  • Addhyyan: knowledge gained through study of the Vedas and other standard ancillary texts,
  • Suhritprapti: knowledge gained from a kind-hearted person, while engaged in the spread of knowledge
  • Daan: knowledge gained regardless of one’s own needs while attending to the requirements of those engaged in the search of the highest truth,
  • Aadhyaatmik dukkh-haan: freedom from pain, disappointment, etc; arising due to lack of spiritual, metaphysical, mystic knowledge and experience,
  • Aadhibhautik dukkh-haan: freedom from pain etc; arising by possessing and being attached to various materialistic gains,

v Aadhidaivik dukkh-haan: freedom from pain etc; caused by fate or due to reliance on fate,


Zehn sekundäre Siddhis

Die 10 sekundären Siddhis [2] sind :

  • anūrmi-mattvam: Being undisturbed by hunger, thirst, and other bodily disturbances
  • dūra-śravaṇa: Hearing things far away
  • dūra-darśanam: Seeing things far away
  • manaḥ-javah: Moving the body wherever thought goes (teleportation/astral projection)
  • kāma-rūpam: Assuming any form desired
  • para-kāya praveśanam: Entering the bodies of others
  • sva-chanda mṛtyuh: Dying when one desires
  • devānām saha krīḍā anudarśanam: Witnessing and participating in the pastimes of the gods
  • yathā sańkalpa saḿsiddhiḥ: Perfect accomplishment of one's determination
  • ājñā apratihatā gatiḥ: Orders or commands being unimpeded [8]

Buddhismus

Der Buddhismus unterscheidet zwischen gewöhnlichen Siddhis (Tib. ཐུན་མོང་གི་དངོས་གྲུབ་, Wyl. thun mong gi dngos grub) und höchsten oder ungewöhnlichen Siddhis (Tib. མཆོག་གི་དངོས་གྲུབ་, Wyl. mchog gi dngos grub) der Mahasiddhas die Folge der Erleuchtung sind.

Gewöhnliche Siddhis

  • The siddhi of celestial realm is the ability to dwell in celestial realms while still alive.
  • The siddhi of the sword (Wyl. ral gri'i dngos grub) is the ability to overcome any hostile army.
  • The siddhi of the pill (Wyl. ril bu) is the ability to become invisible by blessing pills and holding them in your hand;
  • With the siddhi of fleet-footedness (Wyl. rkhang mgyogs), by wearing boots you have blessed, you can walk around a lake in an instant;
  • With the vase siddhi you can create a vessel that makes anything you put inside it, food or money for example, inexhaustible.
  • The siddhi of yaksha is the power to make yakshas your servants. They then follow your orders and accomplish the work of a million people in a single night.
  • The siddhi of the elixir gives you a lifespan as long as the sun and the moon, the strength of an elephant, the beauty of a lotus, and makes you feel as light as cotton wool whenever you get up from your seat.
  • With the siddhi of the balm of magic sight (Wyl. mig sman) you can see things beneath the earth, such as treasures and so on when you apply balm to your eyes.
