19. Die Duḥkadahanatārā (Verbrennerin des Leidens) zählt zu den 21 Taras.

Darstellung

Ikonografisch wird die Duḥkadahanatārā meistens weiss auf einem weissen Lotus und Mond dargestellt.

Aus dem JA erscheint eine weisse Tārā. Ihre beiden Hände halten einen kleinen Ofen am Herzen. Sie sitzt in der Sattva-Haltung, mit dem rechten Bein etwas verlängert

Die ihr entsprechende Buddhaform ist Vairocana.

Ihr Mantra ist Oṃ tāre tuttāre ture mocana svāhā. Oṃ tāre tuttāre ture BENDZA AYUKHE SOHA

Lobpreisung

Ehrerbietung ihr, der die Könige der Versammlung der Götter dienen,

die Götter und Kinnaras;

sie beseitigt Konflikte und Albträume vollig

mit dem Glanz ihrer schönen Rüstung.
