Cittanupassana (chitta anupashyana) ist die Beobachtung des Geistes und die Kontemplation des Geistes sowie die Kontemplation verschiedener Geisteszustände. Sie ist Achtsamkeit in Bezug auf mentale Zustände.
Die Methode wird im Satipatthana Sutta beschrieben.
