Badarayana (IAST Bādarāyaṇa) was ein indischer Philosoph, über dessen Herkunft wenig bekannt ist. Evt. hat er im ersten Jahrhunder CE gelebt.

Er gilt als Author des Vedanta - Sutra(Sariraka Mimamsa Sutra) bzw. des Brahma-Sutra, einer Kurzfassung der gesamten Vedanta-Philosophie.

Manchmal wird er mit Veda Vyasa gleichgesetzt, der umgekehrt zuweilen auch als Author der Brahma-Sutras angesehen wird.
