Die Aghori - Sadhus sind eine Sekte des sog. linken Pfades und Verehrer von Bhairava - Shiva. Das Wort Aghora bedeutet soviel wie nicht schrecklich.
Die Philosophie der Aghoris basiert auf zwei Prinzipien :
- Shiva ist vollkommen, d.h. er iat allwissend, allgegenwärtig und allmächtig.
- Shiva ist verantwortlich für alles was geschieht, für alle Bedingungen, Ursachen und Wirkungen.
