Gotra Theorie: Unterschied zwischen den Versionen

Das Wort gotra (P. gotta; T. rigs རིགས་; C. zhongxing 種姓/種性) bedeutet „Abstammung“, „Veranlagung“ usw.. Der Begriff wird oft verwendet, um erschiedene Arten von „Familien" oder "Gruppen", die in irgendeiner Weise verwandt oder verbunden sind.

Gotra wird in der buddhistischen Literatur auf vielfältige Weise verwendet. In Yogācāra wird es im Sinne von Familie, Abstammung oder Typ verwendet, um Wesen nach ihrer angeborenen Fähigkeit zum Fortschritt auf dem Weg zur Erleuchtung zu klassifizieren.

Das Tsadra Buddha-Natur-Glossar besagt: Gotra bedeutet : Disposition, Abstammung oder Klasse; Die Gotra eines Individuums bestimmt die Art der Erleuchtung, zu der man bestimmt ist.
